• Mission: The Swift Museum Foundation was founded by Charlie Nelson, then President, over 40 years ago with an ad in Trade-A-Plane seeking interest from Swift owners in forming a type club. It began as the International Swift Association and grew over the years—ultimately becoming the only type club to purchase the FAA Type Certificate for its aircraft. Along with the Type Certificate, the organization also acquired the original factory tooling, remaining parts inventory, and manufacturing plans. This enables the Foundation to manufacture FAA PMA-approved parts to support the continued operation of the Swift for generations to come.
