Keep Flying After the Endorsement
Earning a tailwheel endorsement is only the beginning. The harder question is often: Where can you rent a taildragger and continue building real experience?
For pilots in Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio, and Northern West Virginia, Draggin’ Tail Pilots provides that opportunity.
We are a dedicated tailwheel flying club with approximately 30 members and two classic 1952 Cessna 170Bs. Our members range from student and private pilots to experienced commercial pilots and flight instructors. Training is available from the private-pilot level through CFII, including tailwheel endorsements and continuing tailwheel instruction.
The Cessna 170B is a capable, four-place taildragger that is well suited for training, traveling, and enjoying the kind of hands-on flying that first attracted many of us to aviation.

Membership requires a buy-in and is intended for pilots who want more than a one-time endorsement. It provides the opportunity to remain active, proficient, and connected to a community that shares an appreciation for conventional-gear aircraft.
