Description:
N1689K / SER 4416 is a 1946 Luscombe 8E being presented for sale by owner. I purchased the plane in 2024 to use as an initial tail wheel trainer. It’s been a great flying, dependable airplane the whole time. The plane was annualed in May of 2026 and is currently being flown regularly.
It’s powered by a continental c85 stroker making about 100 horsepower. 454 SMOH, being flown regularly so hours will go up. There’s been about $20,000 put into this airplane since 2024 and it’s currently in top running shape. The paint on the plane is beautiful and I would rate the exterior of the plane as a 9 out of 10. The interior is equipped with Cessna 150 seats with decent but not perfect upholstery. The panel has the original teak wood laminate on it which is peeling off. The original headliner is in good shape but shows its age. I would rate the interior as a 5 out of 10.
