2022 CubCrafters Carbon Cub EX-3 – $349,000
This 2022 CubCrafters Carbon Cub EX-3 was expertly built by a previous Oshkosh award winner and boasts 225 hours on the airframe, engine, and propeller. Powered by a 186 HP fuel-injected Lycoming YIO-360 engine paired with a Hartzell Trailblazer 83″ constant-speed prop, it delivers outstanding performance with a useful load of 855 lbs and a gross weight of 2,000 lbs. The aircraft includes dual Lightspeed electronic ignition, a CubCrafters lightweight sump, intake plenum, and baffles, as well as a 40-amp B&C alternator with a discrete voltage regulator.
The custom SteinAir carbon fiber panel features a 10″ Garmin G3X touch MFD/PFD, GNX 375 IFR GPS/transponder with ADS-B In/Out, GFC 500 fully coupled autopilot, GEA 24 engine instruments, and LEMO plugs for pilot and passenger. Additional equipment includes dual USB power outlets, a remote comm, and an ELT remote panel.
The airframe is equipped with 44-gallon extended-range fuel tanks (39 usable), nearly new 26″ Alaska Bushwheel tires (with 29″ available), 6″ Grove wheels with heavy-duty brakes, ACME main shocks, a “stinger” tailwheel shock, vortex generators, and a certified EarthX lithium battery. LED lighting, including wig-wag landing lights, enhances safety and visibility. The extended baggage compartments (100 lbs main, 60 lbs extended) and cargo rings provide excellent storage flexibility.
The interior features carbon fiber floor and side panels, Oregon Aero seats, a custom folding rear seat with a storage compartment underneath, a Rosen visor, and inertial reel harnesses.
