1996 Murphy Rebel – $60,000 – This Murphy Rebel, located in Mercer, PA, is an experimental/homebuilt aircraft with approximately 800 total airframe hours and a newly installed Lycoming O-290-D2 engine (140HP) with just 10 hours since major overhaul. It features a useful load of 630 lbs and burns 7.2 GPH at 95 mph (2300 RPM).
Avionics include an MGL EFIS touchscreen, Uavionix ADS-B with SkyFYX GPS, backup analog ASI and altimeter, transponder, two-place intercom, and push-to-talk switches on both sticks. Additional equipment includes new WAT LED taxi/landing and nav/strobe lights, a 406 ELT with a battery valid until 12/2027, and electric flaperons with a panel-mounted flap switch.
The airframe is in solid condition with a May 2024 condition inspection. It has 30 gallons of fuel capacity (15 gallons in each wing), 26″ ABW Airstreak tires, ABW wheels and double puck brakes, T3 tailwheel suspension (includes upgraded model T3 in box), and VGs on the wings and horizontal stabilizer.
