This 1950 Cessna 195A, owned by Grammy Award-winning musician David Teegarden for the past 44 years, is a unique piece of aviation and rock-and-roll history. The aircraft has 5,227 total hours, with 303 hours SMOH on its upgraded Jacobs R-755B2 engine (275 HP) and 303 hours SPOH on its Hamilton-Standard constant-speed propeller.
Features include a King avionics stack (Nav/Com and Mode-C transponder), Barron Aviation STC’d aluminum aileron brackets, an avionics access door, and Cleveland wheels and brakes. The exterior is white with red trim and black accents, with paint rated 5-6 due to age and oxidation but always hangared since 1980. The red fabric and vinyl interior is in good condition, though the carpet is faded and could use replacement.
All airframe logs are available from 1952 to the present. The aircraft has a documented ground loop repair from the late 1950s. Annual inspection is due. Based near Tulsa, Oklahoma.
